Many of my friends asked me why I call myself Jehpin Liew on the web. My real name is spelt Liew Jeh Pin. But with a name like that means your non-Chinese encounters will call you Liew or Mr Pin, thereby re-arranging my entire name. Hence my attempt to make things easier for everyone. I am also known to many friends as Lewis, thereby creating myself a rhyming Lewis Liew. But adopting Lewis on the internet means you become less searchable because you compete with other Lewis’s. Who else is called Jehpin?

I now shuttle between Singapore & Shanghai and currently I try to balance my life with violinmaking, some travelling (mostly for business, but I bring along my family all the time) and photography.

Below are some things I used to do (about 10 years ago now)

• running the China Headquarters for ERA in Shanghai for Hersing Corporation Ltd
• helping others to buy/sell properties in SINGAPORE at ERA
• taking photographs for events memorable for wedding couples (free)
