The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House was founded in 1946 as the Covent Garden Orchestra when the theatre reopened as the nation’s first permanent home for opera and ballet. Throughout its existence, the Orchestra has been distinguished by the number of top musicians who have joined its ranks and the outstanding roster of international conductors with whom it has played. It has been acclaimed by public and critics alike, and has won many awards including the 1995 and 1998 Evening Standard Opera Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement and the 1999 Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera.
3) St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra

The St Petersburg Philharmonic is the oldest symphonic ensemble in the former USSR. It origins can be traced back to a group of music loving Russian aristocrats who founded Europe’s first Philharmonic Society in 1802. The St Petersburg Philharmonic was the first Soviet orchestra to tour abroad. After the war, the orchestra toured over 25 countries in Europe, Asia and America conducted by Mravinsky, Stokowski, Munch, Cluytens, Markevitch, Josef Krips, Kodaly, Britten and Temiraknov. Through its touring and recordings, the Orchestra has become famous all over the world.

I bought a cello bow from you about 1 1/2 ago and am still very satisfied with it.
Maybe I didn’t tell you at the time, but I play in the Symphonic Orchestra of Namur, an amateur orchestra conducted by Michel Deom, a professional violin player, composer and conductor.

Hi there,Let me introduce myself, I am a late starter and started a group of late starters( no children)I have between 20 and 27 pupils in my Saturdaymorning class who have all started to play Ages between 28 and 72.I’m forever faced with badsounding inadequate badly made violins and bows. We are very lucky to have our own repair person but I would love to get some information from you about different violins and possibilities. I’m looking for despiaux bridges for4/4 violins 24 good and 12 better quality Cello 6 full size bridges good and 6 best quality Also looking for 4/4 violinbows light and heavy ones if possible octogenal..A decent ,good sounding study violin which could be used for a couple of years before the student need a better one.. And for myself a good orchestra and solo violin with a one piece back(blond) good in’laid pegs real purfling, despiaux bridge etc.I would be very happy to get prices and perhaps a picture.How do I go about customs?I love your website but it is too big, Do you have a brochure. We will also need all other small things like finetuners strings etc. Awaiting your response Louise Pallet
