| One of the best varnished violin in my shop, this violin has a dark red finish to complement the dark rich tone. The good quality steel strings makes this a good choice especially if you are a folk music player. The antiquating technique employed here is light, just adding a fine touch. A one piece medium flamed maple is used here, so as not to be too overpowering in terms of looks. More like a gentle instrument, only to surprise the player when it is played. The nice boxwood fittings matches the red varnish. Fully oil varnished, and made by a single luthier from start to finish. | |

| The best feature about this violin is the smoothing warm tone and the outstanding antiquating. For this new violin, the antiquating technique used is certainly thumbs up. This is made possible by the oil varnish that we buy from our luthier friend in Italy, who has taught us greatly. Matching maple, sides, neck and scroll make this a beautiful masterpiece. With the nice warm tone that is instantly playable, it will be hard to tell this is a new violin, even for some advanced players. This violin is for pros only. | |

| Made like an old French violin, this violin has all the characteristics be it the rich amber/brown antiquating with pale yellow ground, or the scroll works of the structure of the violin. The back maple is an impressive 1 piece back with medium, consistent flames. Complementing it is the medium grain top spruce of old age, with grains narrowing as it approaches the edges. This violin has balanced, warm tone, and is powerful enough for most players. Made for Pros. | |

| This violin has all the unique characteristics be it the dark mysterious antiquating with pale yellow ground, or the scroll works or the structure of the violin. The back maple is an impressive one piece back with medium, consistent flames. Complementing it is the medium grain top spruce of old age. This violin is oil varnished and with this antiquating, one can really be fooled that this is an old violin, if you find this violin at an antique store. This violin has a balanced, warm tone, and is powerful across all strings registers. A good professional violin. | |

| This is an excellent violin with a powerful warm tone. Suitable for a solo performance in a mid size function without the need for amplification. Made in Strad style, the tone is richer than its Guarneri counterpart. The spruce used here is the signature old spruce that we use at old-violin-house. You can expect this violin to perform. Beautiful matching maple is used. If you find this violin at an antique shop, you probably have difficulty telling this is not a century old violin. Made by a single lutheir from start to finish. For pros only. | |

| This is a very special limited edition violin. It’s called the Dancing Master’s violin and auctioned at Tarisio’s violin auction. Our friend who won the violin is kind enough to let us borrow the violin for reproduction. Why do we want to reproduce it? This violin has the most beautiful overtones I have ever experienced on a violin. It’s something like a violin version of the church pipe organ. Each tone that resonates on the violin lasts longer than a regular violin, allowing the tones to overlap a little, thereby creating a unique blend of tone. Truly unique. I have good reasons to believe Old Violin House is the only violin maker who is reproducing this type of violin. For now we are making only 4 copies. If the response is not good, we will stop production on this model. For now, this truly unique violin is for auction. Collectors, don’t miss. This violin has a normal violin’s neck and scroll. Total length:590. Back length:358. Upper:144. Mid:103. Lower:194 (mm) |

| This is a professional level violin by Beijing violinmaker Wang Wenqing, who is a well respected maker within China. Here we see influences of da Salo emblem design. This violin is made using Engelman Spruce, giving the violin a nice full voice. High quality boxwood with bone trimmings are used. The spruce is from Northeast China, known for their hardness, making a good full tone possible. Achieves outstanding projection and volume through a carefully calibrated high archings. Each instrument tonewood is tuned individually to achieve the optimum resonance possible for that piece of wood. The bass of matching density is then used, to ensure the instrument produces a big, brilliant, deep and rich tone. For pros only. | |

| This is an excellent violin with an outstanding two piece maple. The maple has deep grains, and the flaming is very clear. The top spruce is really fine grain, and very consistent throughout, really a class of its own. Matching sides, neck and scroll completes this good quality violin. This violin has a warm tone, and is powerful enough for medium size solo or small group performances without amplification, which makes it a good bring along violin for pros who does not want to bring their best violins for certain occasions. A great violin for those who like their violins not antiqued. | |
